Job Role Summary
- Deliver value, efficiency and expanded market advantage via end-to-end category management (from strategy development to implementation) to the Business Unit through development of agreements to achieve total system cost
- Develop and maintain portfolio of agreements within Transportation & Logistics Category; work closely with Senior Category Manager and Business Lines Supply Chain team to develop and implement commercial plans; Key focus on China Lubes/ Chemical warehouse and transportation services and custom clearance service
Job Role Responsibilities
- Negotiates contract pricing and terms & conditions directly with suppliers while working with internal stakeholders, seeking lowest total system costs and appropriate mitigation of supply and legal risk
- Develops and maintains internal and external relationships to meet business line expectations
- Executes PtP processes in full compliance with Sourcing & Acquisition Handbook and CIMS catalogs
- Fully leverages Procurement processes and tools to ensure most effective procurement method is utilized
- Monitor and response to market dynamic/ changes to sustain competitive advantage for the Business
- Maintains agreement portfolio: scope updates, pricing, Exhibits, amendments and SAP updates
- Ensures contract compliance and utilization
- Ensures transactional efficiency of agreements by leveraging systems
- Provides fit-for-risk process improvements
- Influences development and implements Category strategic and commercial guidance; shares portfolio specific market intelligence to Category Networks
Expected Level of Proficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or engineering/ supply chain management;
- 5 to 8 years procurement related experience in the area of Chemical supply chain procurement
- Preferably with at least 5-years’ prior experience in Chemical Logistics contracting
- Strong familiarity with China Logistics market for Oil & Gas industry
- Knowledge of Purchase-to-Pay (PtP) process – including use of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning system and GEP system
- Demonstrate the ability to identify new opportunities, challenge “status quo” and drive changes
- Effective negotiation skills
- Industry and market knowledge (China or AP market)
- Basic computer software applications
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written as portfolio may expands beyond China
- Effective team player with good communication/ interpersonal/ coordination / advocacy skills
- Strong Analytical & Leadership Skill
- Self-motivated and independent
