ExxonMobil in China
ExxonMobil has a long history in China dating back to 1892 when its predecessor Standard Oil began marketing kerosene to light the Mei Foo lamps at Chinese homes. Today, ExxonMobil’s business portfolio in China spans the full spectrum of the industry, from upstream to downstream, chemicals and technology center.

What you will do
- Evaluate, design and guide selection of technologies required for new systems and enhancements that meet China Sales & Marketing business needs. Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of the system architecture
- Develop and deliver roadmap and manage product lifecycles. Develop and maintain System Architecture models and reference implementations.
- Support Product roles in engaging, selecting and influencing vendors / consultants for system implementation guidance, roadmaps, and features (e.g. key supplier engagement)
- Partner with Scrum Master, Data Product Owners and team of Data Architect and Engineers in defining technical enhancements. Partners with Data Product Owners to identify and prioritize enabler work
About you
- Understand business processes and requirements particularly relating to Sales and Marketing capability in China
- Strong knowledge of IT architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and cloud computing
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly
- Good understanding of data architecture, management, processing and integration, with experience on common data platforms and tools
- Good knowledge of cybersecurity and application security & controls (secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, etc)
- Good knowledge of DevOps practices such as CI/CD, Microservices, Infrastructure as Code, etc
- Good knowledge of agile concepts and experience working in agile teams (Scrum, Sprint, backlog)
- Team player with strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (spoken and written)
- Prior work experience in the following technologies will be an advantage
- Alibaba Cloud platform
- Generative AI
- WeChat/WeCom ecosystem
- Programing knowledge in Java, Python, R, SQL, etc
