What role you will play in our team

 

We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded Senior Market Advisor to spearhead the growth of our Proxxima™ thermoset resin systems within the Asia Pacifici Market, specifically focusing on China’s fast-evolving mobility sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned business leader with deep experience in advanced materials and a strong understanding of launching and growing sales of new products within Mobility.
As our senior representative in China, you will play a pivotal role in identifying high-impact market opportunities, shaping regional go-to-market strategies, and initiating strategic collaborations with OEMs, Tier suppliers, and innovation partners. Your success will depend on your ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial value, navigate complex customer ecosystems, and build trusted relationships across the value chain.
This is a high-visibility role for a hands-on strategist and market maker who can bridge global product strategy with local execution.

 

What you will do

 

  • Market Development and Strategy
    Lead regional market analysis to identify priority growth segments in mobility (including NEVs, commercial vehicles, and lightweighting applications)
    Assess customer needs, competitive dynamics, and regulatory trends specific to China’s automotive value chain
    Define regional product-market fit and inform global roadmap decisions

 

  • Customer Engagement and Relationship Building
    Work with local Business Development Team to develop strategic relationships with OEMs, Tier 1/2 suppliers, and material converters in China
    Act as a technical-commercial liaison to uncover application opportunities and co-develop pilot programs

 

  • Program and Opportunity Management
    Drive key commercialization initiatives from concept through production scale-up, ensuring alignment with customer timelines and internal capabilities
    Develop and manage business cases, including revenue forecasts and investment requirements
    Monitor project milestones and escalate roadblocks to global leadership

 

  • Go-to-Market Execution
    Collaborate with the global marketing team to develop value propositions, launch plans, and localized messaging
    Support sales and distribution strategies to ensure strong channel execution and post-launch performance tracking
    Provide ongoing feedback to product teams based on in-market learnings

 

  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Leadership
    Serve as the voice of the China market in global product, marketing, and business development discussions
    Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure readiness for commercial scale-up
    Build internal awareness of market trends, competitive threats, and customer feedback

 

About you

 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, or strategic marketing for composite or thermoplastic materials—preferably within automotive or mobility sectors
  • Proven success commercializing new materials in China, ideally with direct exposure to OEM/Tier1 sourcing and approval processes
  • Strong understanding of drivers shaping China’s automotive material needs
  • Established network within the Chinese and AP automotive ecosystem, including R&D, procurement, and executive stakeholders
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English with excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously in a matrixed global organization and influence cross-functional teams
  • Technical background in material science, engineering, or chemistry; MBA or equivalent business acumen a plus
