ExxonMobil markets a variety of petrochemicals in China to meet the growing needs for a broad range of applications in packaging, automotive, industrial and consumer goods as well as hygiene and personal care products. 

 

What role you will play in our team

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Market Planner to support the strategic growth of our Proxxima™ thermoset resin and broader materials portfolio in the global mobility market. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong interest in market development, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration within the advanced materials or mobility sectors.
In this role, you will work closely with global program managers, and both commercial and technical teams to support market research, data tracking, opportunity assessment, and planning activities. Your work will directly contribute to the successful commercialization of innovative materials in key automotive and mobility applications.
Success in this role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, curiosity about global markets, and a desire to build experience in strategic marketing, product planning, and business support functions within a high-impact, fast-paced environment.

 

What you will do

 

  • Market and Competitive Research

Assist in gathering market data and analyzing trends in mobility, automotive, and materials sectors.

Track competitor activity, customer developments, and relevant regulatory changes.

  • Program Support and Coordination

Support planning and execution of commercialization programs by preparing timelines, tracking deliverables, and updating internal tools and documents.

Assist in scheduling and coordinating cross-functional team meetings and follow-ups.

  • Sales and Customer Support Materials

Help compile presentations, market briefs, and internal reports to support customer engagements and business development activities.

Contribute to value proposition development by collecting and organizing technical and commercial insights.

  • Data Management and KPI Tracking

Monitor key program metrics and help maintain dashboards to track progress toward commercialization goals.

Work with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely data reporting.

  • Go-to-Market Support

Assist with product launch activities, including market segmentation, channel planning, and marketing collateral preparation.

Help document case studies, program learnings, and market feedback for internal use.

 

About you

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field

  • 5-7 years of experience in a business, marketing, or commercial support role 

  • Exposure to materials, automotive, or manufacturing sectors 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to summarize complex information clearly

  • Comfortable working in cross-cultural, global team environments

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools
