Customer and Application Development Engineer for Polypropylene and VistamaxxTM

Job Role Summary

• Product and application development:
  • Monitor emerging market and application trends and competitive offering, generate ‘next generation’ ideas accordingly
  • Lead technical projects or contribute as a member of regional or global team to develop new products or application solutions to meet customer/market needs.
• Technical support:
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing functions, engage third parties in value chains to explore commercial opportunities and expand market position.
  • Conduct trials and provide trouble shooting for customers.
  • Advocate in associations to give technical input and maintain leadership in the industry.
  • Deliver presentations at conferences and seminars.
• Mentor, develop and train junior technical staff and people new to the product line. Grow and sustain technical leadership in the product line by further deepening conversion/processing and application related expertise for VistamaxxTM and polypropylene products.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• >= 3 years relevant technical experience with Master’s degree or above, Bachelor’s degree is also eligible with 5 years of relevant experience. Major/knowledge in process engineering is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in product fundamentals of polymers, related conversion processes and various applications. Experience in solar PV and foaming applications is a plus. 
• Effective team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task, manage multiple interfaces and prioritize work
• Fluency in written and spoken English
