Job Role Summary

The country OH manager develops, coordinates and executes all occupational health programs to meet labor & health regulatory requirements, to support our Corporate Health Policy and to help keep our employees healthy and productive. 

 Primary Job Functions:

ExxonMobil’s Global Medical and Occupational Health Department is currently seeking a qualified Physician for the position of Country OH Manager for China.

 The Country OH manager would be based in Shanghai and supports all ExxonMobil operations in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

He/she reports functionally to the Regional OH Manager and works closely with Business Line management and the Human Resources department.  

 

Job Role Responsibilities

•            Ensuring compliance with national labor and health regulations and policies

•            Serving as the corporate health advisor for ExxonMobil management and employees

•            Integrating and optimising use of Government and private health resources

•            Preparing for and executing emergency medical response, active participation in country Emergency Support Group as and when required

•            Developing, implementing and executing fitness for work assessments, pre-placement exams, and occupational health surveillance exams

•            Providing advice on Travel medicine & vaccination

•            Activities in relation to Alcohol & Drug policy

•            Coordinating management of work related illnesses and injuries

•            Supporting site safety management system

•            Supporting office ergonomics program

•            Serving as ambassador for our Culture of Health programs

•            Development and providing oversight of medical support for ExxonMobil operations and expansion projects 

Expected Level of Proficiency

•            Physician with at least 10 years work experience

•            Licensed in PRC with Master Degree in a relevant specialty such as Occupational Health, Public Health, Emergency Medicine or equivalent.

•            Excellent ability to network and build relationships with local health authorities and community health providers

•            Strong Chinese (mother tongue strongly preferred) and English capability

•            Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed

•            Training and experience in Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Public Health and relevant work experience in a multinational organization will be an advantage

•            Supervisory or managerial experience will be a plus.
