Catalysts & Licensing (C&L) Account Manager (Shanghai)

Job Role Responsibilities

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Safety and Control
• Commit and behave based on highest level of safety and control standards and policies
• Comply with all of applicable laws and regulations for business integrity and personal ethic
 
Business Development and Existing Business Management
• Understand C&L GBU core strategies and technology platform strategies and show commitment to growing GI value
• Work with China C&L team to achieve GBU functional excellence
• Support and manage business with existing customers and improve customer relationship
• Explore business opportunities of C&L in GC and identify key prospects to prioritize and focus on
• Maintain pipeline for new opportunities, Crude to Chemical projects and monitor development
• Develop individual plan and review with supervisor to direct future business developing activities
• Develop technology licensing and/or catalyst sales/lease proposals with global licensing managers for potential clients in GC
• Market technology and catalyst offerings covering Paraxylene, Ethyl Benzene, Cumene, LDPE, EVA, Lubes Base Stock MSDW, MIDW, Flexicoking, Sulfuric Acid Alkylation, SCANfining and others (e.g. EMTAM/LPI/New technologies)
• Leverage on global resources for project development and related negotiations, e.g. NDA, Technical Appendix, Commercial Agreement, Catalysts Supply Agreement, etc.
• Negotiate and work with customers under the guidance of global licensing managers for specific technology and catalyst opportunities
• Take responsibility on contract execution to deliver the results, covering cradle to grave of new project/revamp technology licensing (feasibility study to start-up)
• Carry out adhoc studies e.g. Run plan optimization study, competitive study, AP venture support
• Support marketing / Marcom activities

 

Market and competitive Intelligence
• Collect and solicit competitors intelligence, monitor the changes of governmental policies/regulations, understand the direct/potential impact to our business
• Based on the market and competitive intelligence, provide to the C&L Global and China team the insights and recommend action plans
 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

 

• Bachelor or Master/PhD degree holders
• Technical background (Chemical Engineering or Science)
• Prior sales / marketing / technology experience in petrochemical industry helpful
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written) and Chinese
• Able to work independently and a team player
• Expect to stay in the role at least for 3 – 4 years to acquire necessary competencies
