Job Role Summary

The Sales Representative is primarily responsible for customer interface and customer satisfaction. The Sales Representative also develops new customer relationships consistent with target market and service level strategies, interfaces with customers and represents the voice of the customer within one of several businesses within ExxonMobil Chemical. Sales Representatives may be a member of one or more teams or networks, e.g. Application Development Team, Pipeline Management Team, etc.

Job Role Responsibilities

Pursue and deliver Sales Plan in a given Territory/Mkt Share within volume and profitability targets. Protect existing business. Negotiate (within guidelines) prices, discounts, volume rebates and sales terms; ensure that these are accurately recorded in the system. On-going stewardship results. Prospect and develop new customers/opportunities within SA market with focus in Brazil and Argentina. Identify new or improved products and services needs at current and new customers for consideration. Support customers in the use of ExxonMobil's products as per service level strategy, by providing tailored product and services information, answering customer inquiries about products and technology, providing value-added technical support, and providing Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) information on product use.

Consistently and continuously look for enhancing customer relationship expanding those to higher levels of both organizations. Foster customer intimacy. Develop and manage account plans for each customer. Support customer strategy formatting. Leverage on customer global presence/networking. Broadly share customer information throughout ExxonMobil global organization. Ensure broad collaboration, networking and full sales force capabilities utilization.

Support Marketing to develop sales and value-in-use assessment for new product and application developments. Broadly share marketing specific information throughout ExxonMobil global organization.

Negotiate and execute contract agreements with customers aligned with Sales Contract Management (SCM) Guidelines and Calendar. Ensure agreements are accurately recorded and stewarded. Review the impact of market changes on existing agreements.

Leverage Customer Support Center for customer support activities (maximize Sales Representative time spent developing and executing sales). Understand customer requirements and match to ExxonMobil's service offerings, ensuring demand for selected product is within supply capability. Provide details of anticipated sales demand and demand changes to the Supply Chain. Input sales forecast adjustments to improve accuracy of the customer forecast. Resolve customer claims and disputes. Be aware of resolution/closure of customer Cases.

Expected Level of Proficiency

o Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering discipline

o English & Spanish fluency – oral/written mandatory

o Minimum five (5) years of petrochemical sales experience – target is ten (10)

o Flexibility to travel ~ 20% of the time through Brazil/LA/US + 30% of daily travels (driving)

o Brazilian solvents/fluids business knowledge desirable
