What role you will play in our team

 

  • You will be providing daily inspection engineering support to the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant in Hela or Liquefied Natural Gas Plant near Port Moresby, including our Pipelines.  This includes being the primary inspection execution interface between the engineering team, maintenance team, third-party inspection contractors, and executing inspection programs to ensure the mechanical integrity of Plant fixed equipment. 
  • Primary inspection execution interface between Operations Technical Integrity and Maintenance Integrity (Planning, Execution) and Third-Party Inspection Contractors.
  • Execute inspection programs that ensure the mechanical integrity of plant fixed equipment. This is done through routine monitoring programs and scheduled inspections/tasks as planned by Maintenance Integrity Planning.
  • Work closely with Operations Technical Integrity to provide the necessary information needed to ensure that repair and replacement work is done on a planned versus a reactive basis. Evaluate repairs and verify quality.
  • Provide support for maintenance and small capital projects by helping to ensure that quality control programs are functioning properly and consulting on unusual failures or repairs.
  • Act as knowledgeable person for historic unit vulnerabilities, bad actor equipment and leaks on critical unit equipment.
  • Demonstrate leadership in safety excellence and safety initiatives within the business unit team. 
  • Scope may be either LNG Plant & Marine Terminal, and/or HGCP/Upstream locations; and may align to Inspection plans set out Maintenance Integrity Planning.
  • This position is based at Port Moresby.

What you will do

  • Responsible for developing and executing business unit external inspection campaigns (including coatings) plans and programs which includes:
      o    Conduct external inspections for Facility Integrity Management System Program 02 (FIMS 02) (including coating assessment as per GIP).
      o    Review, external inspection reports performed by Third-Party Inspectors.
      o    Create notifications for external degradation deviations based on inspection recommendations and work prioritization matrix.
      o    Collaborate with Operations Technical Integrity team to field verify inspection activity findings requiring potential repair or deviations.
      o    Communicate and steward all inspection work recommendations.
      o    Document any updates with respect to Inspection work scope, work packs.
  • Responsible for executing business unit internal inspections as needed, coordinating Third-Party Inspection Contractors involved in campaign, and interfacing with Operations Technical Integrity and Maintenance Integrity.
  • Responsible to provide requirements, Quality Assurance (QA), and Verification & Validation of field maintenance work which includes:
      o    Administer and steward Ultrasonic performance qualification to ensure the operator has the right level of field-testing proficiency
      o    Monitor and support Non-destructive Examination (NDE) field activities.
      o    Support Operations Technical Integrity Engineers to review and monitor hot taps and all in service welding jobs.
      o    Support Operations Technical Integrity Engineers to evaluate the installation and repairs (temporary and permanent), rerates, and alterations.
      o    Participate in PSSR’s and ensure proper documentation is obtained for mechanical integrity GMOC closures.
      o    Support with Field verification that proper materials have been installed including positive material verifications (PMI).
  • Support Operations Technical Integrity Engineers with the required input to the Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP) development.
  • Responsible to support in maintenance turnaround activities:
      o    Support Operations Technical Integrity Engineers to recommend turnaround work scope based on equipment inspection requirements and concerns.
      o    Support the development of job packs/inspection plans for low to medium complexity turnarounds.
      o    Support Operations Technical Integrity Engineers in the development of repair plans.
      o    Support Operations Technical Integrity Engineers in the review and approval of Process Design Specifications (PDS) and/or Management of Change (MOC) requests.
      o    Support Maintenance and Operations Technical Integrity to review/provide quality control plans for turnaround.
      o    Support Maintenance by participating in turnaround milestone reviews as needed.
      o    Ensure that appropriate QC functions are executed during turnarounds.
      o    Conduct internal and external inspections as needed and monitor NDE activities.
      o    Support Operations Technical Integrity in evaluating and documenting NDE results for acceptance and/or repair.
      o    Compile inspection data and issue equipment condition reports.
      o    Participate in PSSRs.
      o    Review Contractor QC packages for maintenance/Turnaround work and coordinate system turnover.
      o    Ensure equipment history and inspection records for external degradations are updated in a timely manner.

 

About You

 

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science (any discipline).
  • Must have more than five years of Plant fixed mechanical integrity inspection experience working in the Oil and Gas production or similar industry with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others.
