ExxonMobil PNG Limited is the operator of the US$19 billion PNG LNG Project, an integrated development that is commercializing the gas resources of Papua New Guinea. Our production operations include gas production and processing facilities, onshore and offshore pipelines and liquefaction facilities.
Our operations commenced in the middle of 2014 and we ship liquefied natural gas to customers in Asia. Our operations have the capacity to produce more than 8 million tonnes of LNG annually.

What role you will play in our team
ExxonMobil PNG Limited is actively recruiting Operations and Maintenance trainees through scholarship program. The scholarship program includes 12 months sponsored training program with the Kumul Petroleum Academy (KPA) and EM employment at the end of the successful program. Following two (2) rotational assignment (28/28) to EM PNG LNG Plant, the trainees will get permanent placement into Operations or Maintenance group across the EM PNG Hides Gas Conditioning Plant (HGCP) and LNGP Plant
What you will do
- 12 months full-time program commitment with KPA at Port Moresby
- EM employment at the end of the successful program
- Placement to respective Operations or Maintenance group at LNG Plant or HGC Plant
- Production (Operations) Technicians
- Instrument Technicians
- Electrical Technicians
- Mechanical Technicians
- Marine Technician
About you
- Have completed highest educational qualification in the last eight years (academic certificate required)
- Have good spoken and written English
- Have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- A clean discipline record (police clearance required )
- Prepare 3 recent references
- Certified copy of Birth Certificate, NID card, Passport, Drivers License or other valid proof of Identification
- Copy of Updated CV
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Preferably have technical vocational trade certificate Level Il or Ill in Mechanical, Production, Instrumental, Electrical, STCW 95 Certification for Marine or related fields and at least one year work experience, and/or completed Grade 12 with good academic results in Math, English, Physics and Chemistry.
