ExxonMobil PNG Limited is a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation and operator of the PNG LNG Project, an integrated development that includes gas production and processing facilities in the Southern Highlands, Hela, Gulf, Central and Western Provinces. The Project commenced production in the middle of 2014 and supplies liquefied natural gas to customers in Asia.

To this end, ExxonMobil PNG Limited is looking for Environmental Science / Chemistry / Physics Students and recent Graduates in these fields who are eager to explore related job opportunities with us. Job opportunities include field positions in environmental science or laboratory. The positions will be based in LNG Plant Site or Hides Gas Conditioning Plant.





• Graduate Opportunity: About to receive or have received a bachelor’s degree in Science within the last three years; or bachelor’s degree in Arts in Environmental Science
• Students and graduates of science disciplines in Environmental Science / Chemistry / Physics are invited to apply

Job Role Responsibilities


Environmental Scientist

• Coordinate air, noise and water sampling on site
• Coordinate third party contractors required for conducting specialized work
• Coordinate the implementation of requirements from relevant environmental, quality, or safety management plans
• Coordinate field tours between field operations and visitors/auditors, such as regulatory agencies
• Assist with stewardship of environmental or other data
• Assist with incident response and management to closure
• Actively participate in Safety, Security, Health and Environment Programs and adhere to ExxonMobil Standards of Business Conduct
• Ensure safe planning and execution of all field activities
• Required to undertake rotating shift work and / or attend out of hours as requested
• Participate in a team environment
• Undertake agreed responsibilities for safety, quality and training



Laboratory Technician

• Conduct testing including and not limited to potable water testing, process testing, microbiological testing, amine testing, and hydrocarbon testing
• Actively participate in sampling program of all products
• Undertake analytical services in an efficient, accurate, safe and low cost manner.
• Maintain standards of behaviour that are consistent with ExxonMobil Standards of Business Conduct and DIAF (Data Integrity Assurance Framework).
• Maintain accurate record keeping and enter analytical test results into reporting systems
• Undertakes analytical testing that ensures quality of products to customers
• Required to undertake rotating shift work and / or attend out of hours as requested
• Participate in a team environment
• Undertake agreed responsibilities for safety, quality and training
