ExxonMobil PNG Limited is the operator of the US$19 billion PNG LNG Project, an integrated development that is commercializing the gas resources of Papua New Guinea. Our production operations include gas production and processing facilities, onshore and offshore pipelines and liquefaction facilities.
 
Our operations commenced in the middle of 2014 and we ship liquefied natural gas to customers primarily in Asia. Our operations have the capacity to produce more than 8 million tonnes of LNG annually.

What role you will play in our team

 

As a Graduate Engineer, you will be part of the Operations Technical organization, working on a variety of engineering activities that will support ExxonMobil PNG operations.

 

The position is based at Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

What you will do

 

  • Develop and maintain a detailed technical knowledge of process equipment and facility systems.
  • Solve technical problems; analyse performance to ensure safe and reliable operations as well as identify and recommend improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in and/or lead risk assessments, hazard and operability studies, and incident investigations associated with ongoing operations and proposed changes.
  • Provide technical support to the Operation and Maintenance teams.
  • Coordinate field execution work activities, including oversight of contractor staff activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advances and changes to engineering standards.

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

Applicant to this program,

 

  • Must be a PNG Citizen or PNG Permanent Resident with bachelor’s degree in Engineering (in any discipline).
  • Must be about to complete their bachelor’s degree in Engineering in 2025 (or) completed their bachelor’s degree in Engineering no earlier than 2021 (commence work in first quarter of 2025).

  • Strong communications and problem-solving skills
  • Experience utilizing in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
