Warehouse Coordinator (Port Allen Lubes)

Job Role Summary

Ensures flawless execution with respect to all Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental priorities. Responsible for the improvement and sustainability of all warehouse activities. Promotes continuous improvement by guiding and motivating a diverse workforce to set the standard for functional excellence. Promotes teamwork and empowerment to ensure the plant meets SH&E, quality, production, and customer service requirements consistent with Midstream Objectives.

Job Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Exhibits leadership driving safety and financial performance
  • Responsible for Warehouse Management System utilization / efficiency.
  • Coordinates activities of Warehouse Operations to optimize plant assets, staffing and logistics to ensure shipment and receiving of finished package products and additive components
  • Coordinates warehouse space optimization (manages re-warehousing and replenishment tasks)
  • Monitors efficient yard management as it relates to warehousing activities and reducing detention
  • Conducts, assigns, supports, and ensures delivery quality incident investigations
  • Assists Inventory Management Specialist and Customer Service Analyast with completion of miss-shipment investigations as necessary
  • Monitors warehouse related fulfillment rates and execution of daily schedules
  • Monitors forklift utilization and safety
  • Operational point of contact for all vendors supplying materials for the warehouse department
  • Interfaces with packaging department on all product quality and stowing related issues
  • Manages and engages issues affecting storage, including picking, stowing, re-warehousing, non-conforming inventory movements, and QC hold
  • Manages and engages issues affecting BPIMS requirements, including shelf life management, product representation (C of A), and inbound quality approval process
  • Warehouse functional contact for contractors pertaining to warehouse operations
  • Manages material set-up, bin location set-up, and picking/put-away strategies
  • Manages the retail customer pick area reconciliation and random package load inspection
  • Coordinates the reporting of daily shift notes
  • Manages the non-conforming(shredding, pump-offs, reclaiming, and manifest)
  • Manages and coordinates the warehouse business continuity process
  • Sets-up and signs off on new operators
  • Monitor and coordinate housekeeping activities
  • Schedules and coordinates weekly warehouse inspections
  • Review warehouse procedures and job safety bulletins as needed for updates

Job Requirements

  • High degree of familiarity with warehousing and/or interdependent plant operations
  • College degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields; or minimum of 3 years of experience in related field such as logistics or warehouse management/coordination
  • Experience with SAP and warehouse management systems or other business, logistics, or planning process systems experience    
  • Base understanding of Management systems including: Business controls, operations integrity and safety, product quality and integrity, and behavior based safety system attributes.
  • Ability to work a rotaing shift including nights/holidays/weekends
