Process Control Supervisor

Job Role Summary

The Process Control Supervisor is responsible for the Oil Movement Controls System (OMCS), which controls the lube plant processes of in-line and batch blending, bulk loading and receiving, package filling, base stock receipts, and storage tank inventories.  Direct and supervise the work of operations employees to ensure the plant's safety, productivity, and customer service goals are met.  Incumbent is accountable for the plant's continuous improvement in the areas of Controls, Safety, Health & Environmental.

Job Role Responsibilities

1.  Supervise and lead employees in the Process Department
2.  Participate in and promote plant Safety, Health, and Environmental Systems
3.  Perform Shift Kickoff Safety discussions
4.  Operate the OMCS and direct the production employees to accomplish the following:
 all Inline Blending
 all Bulk Tank Truck loading and unloading
 all Bulk Tank Car loading and unloading
 all Kettle (batch) Blending
 all base stock receipts
 all bulk additive receipts
 all computer directed connections for packaging
 all product transfers
5.  Assist in prioritizing samples in the Process Coordinator’s absence and Fax all CoA's
6.  Assist in the scheduling and optimizing the plant's production assets
7.  Perform timely and accurate confirmations of all blending, shipping, and base stock receipts
8.  Adhere to/execute the production plan and support waste minimization and reuse efforts
9.  Act as a business owner, taking overall responsibility for the effectiveness of controls within
     the scope of responsibility

Job Requirements

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with sufficient technical knowledge to assist employees with the operation of the facility.
• Able to lead and coach a diverse workforce.
• Able to support a team approach and demonstrated ability to motivate.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to time pressures and conflicting priorities. Ability to multi-task.
• Sound business judgment, decision making skills, and customer focus
• Able to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to Safety, Security, Health and the Environment.
• Flexibility to keep up with changing business needs.

Preferred Skills / Abilities / Knowledge

• Familiarity with all plant operations in blending, bulk storage, and handling
• Familiarity with base stocks, additives, and product compatibility
• Knowledge of lubricant products
• College degree preferred but not required
