Pre-employment Testing Requirement

This Operations and Mechanical (O&M) position requires pre-employment testing.  Please read the job description in its entirety for additional information on accessing the assessment. The assessment should be completed by Sunday, January, 29th 2023.


Electrician at an industrial manufacturing facility responsible for day to day maintenance activities including, but not limited to the following:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing all electrical problems in plant production equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing AC and DC electrical motors and motor controllers.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical heat tracing systems.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing Dematic Automatic Storage and Retrieval Warehouse Crane System and monitoring the plant electrical substation for proper operation.
  • Electrically connecting and wiring plant equipment and running conduit.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and programming PLCs and ladder logic, drive controllers, and equivalent equipment.
  • Reading technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Assisting other maintenance craft personnel as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.


  • 1. Hourly Rate: $36.52/hour - $40.12/hour

  • Energy Isolation (LOTO)

  • Opening Process Equipment (OPE)
  • Electrical Safe Work Practices


  • Must be a Licensed Electrician – State of New Jersey OR possess an electrician trade school degree that would enable the candidate to obtain a license OR have equivalent field experience in an industrial manufacturing facility that would enable the candidate to obtain a license.
  • Must have general mechanical skill and knowledge of plant operations, plant maintenance, and equipment isolation.
  • Must be able to read and have a general understanding of wiring diagrams/drawings.
  • Must meet the physical qualifications of the job requirements, to include: working outdoors in varying weather, climbing, lifting items up to 50lbs., wearing a respirator, and working at heights up to 150 feet.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must pass a written Electrical Maintenance Test.


  • Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and industrial experience in all aspects of the Electrical craft.
  • Relevant experience troubleshooting and/or repairing machinery.
  • Possession of a Certified Electrician License or equivalent trade school diploma/certification.

Pre-Employment Testing Guidance

This Operations and Mechanical (O&M) position requires pre-employment testing. After applying you will receive a pop up giving you access to the assessment. You may take the assessment at that time or utilize the instructions below to access the assessment at a time convenient for you.  Note that the assessment must be completed by the deadline in order for you to be considered for the O&M position for which you have applied. 




The O&M test has been revised.  Effective December 1, 2021 ALL candidates must complete the revised assessment.  Even if you have tested within the last 365 days (passed or failed), if you tested before December 1, 2021, you must complete the revised assessment to be considered for this O&M opportunity.  Failure to complete the assessment by the deadline will result in your disqualification from consideration for this position.  The assessment is the same for all O&M requisitions.  If you have completed the assessment after December 1, 2021, your assessment results will be mapped to this requisition when you try to access the test. Test passed candidates will be screened by the hiring team and a subset invited for interview.  Note that a satisfactory result on the assessment does not guarantee an interview.
