What role you will play in our team

 

The Operator Technician works a 12 hour rotating shift schedule (DuPont) and is responsible for pipeline operations and measurement support for the greater Houston area. Position does not include relocation benefits or travel expense reimbursement associated with the pre-employment process. This job requires pre-employment testing

What you will do

 

  • Tank gauging, meter proving, ticketing, sampling, and measurement reconciliation.
  • Provides operational and mechanical support including maintenance and calibration of measurement equipment.
  • Pipeline station operations including valve line-ups, starting/stopping pumps, and batch tracking of product movements in/out of tankage.
  • Perform inspections of tanks, piping, equipment, and facilities.
  • Permit and provide safety oversight of contractors as needed.
  • Assist in the construction, maintenance, and repairs of pipeline equipment and associated facilities.
  • Perform to highest safety standards, including reporting all incidents and discrepancies.

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Ability to plan daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory procedures.
  • Ability to operate hand tools or other pipeline equipment to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must be willing and able to attend/complete required training courses.
  • Must be willing and able to work alone and in small team environments.
  • Must be willing and able to work in various locations, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to work overtime and respond to callouts as needed. Ability to work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule (DuPont).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license. Ability to read and understand station flow, P&IDs, and pipeline alignment drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (read, write, and speak). Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent and safe work ethic.
