Job Role Responsibilities

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Control and maintain the unit in every aspect with no Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSHE) related accidents
• Obtain knowledge of the following:
   - Knowledge in safety and environmental procedures, rules and regulations and put into practice accordingly
   - Process operation knowledge
   - Knowledge of handling abnormal and emergency situations
   - Forklift driving skills through training
   - Knowledge of all process posts including console
   - Equipment knowledge in order to recognize abnormal situations
   - Technical knowledge regarding operating windows and loss monitoring
• Independently fulfill all process tasks of a process role
• Taking measurement and performing sampling per Hydrocarbon Control Practice (HCP) guideline
• Provide physical access protection to prevent unauthorized programming or data changes through the workstations and determine who has physical access to the workstations
• Analyze standard laboratory samples
• Perform scheduled autonomous maintenance tasks
• Analyze and solve problems
• Perform administrative functions for shift carry over, planning & scheduling and loss monitoring
• Ensure the execution of the work permit system
• Report incident immediately to Process First Line Supervisor (FLS)
• Propose and develop improvements for:
   - Security, Health and Environment (SHE) matters
   - Capacity creep
   - Variable and fixed cost reduction
• Special tasks for a limited number of technicians
   - Gas chromatography problem solving
   - Distribution Control System (DCS) problem solving
   - Instrument problem solving
   - Management of key box in control room
• Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by Process & Technical Leader / Process Engineer / Process FLS / Process Manufacturing Coordinator
• Make sure the execution of the loss prevention system (LPS) system
• Review operation procedure according to plan
 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

 

• High school graduate or equivalent, having polytechnic training is a plus, fresh grads are welcome
• Able to work in a 4-shift system, 365 days per year 24 hours per day
• Work experience in petroleum, chemical industry or power plant is preferred
• Work experience in an Foreign-Invested-Enterprises (FIE) is preferred
• Experience with plant automation (DCS) is preferred
• Good computer knowledge is preferred
• Basic communication skill in English and fluent in Chinese
• Flexible, ready to perform duties other than operator tasks
