What role you will play in our team

 

The Materials Coordinator is accountable for end-to-end Materials Excellence, ensuring the right materials are available where and when needed to meet business objectives. The role focuses on optimizing supply chain performance, leveraging scale to deliver materials at the lowest total cost of ownership. This position interfaces closely with Permian business units and leadership to enable a seamless, integrated material delivery process. Key responsibilities include improving supply chain efficiency, enhancing material availability, and driving value through coordinated planning, execution, and continuous process improvement.

What you will do

 

  • Act as primary interface with the business line (B/L)
  • Embedded, co-located single point of contact for materials needs
  • Support B/L – Planner inputs material demand via SAP, Material Coordinator to support the sourcing of materials for planned work and work list items as per the demand
  • Understand B/L schedules and priorities for work execution, collaborate with B/L to manage material demand and understand material needs
  • Track status of materials through end to end fulfillment process
  • Verify and inform B/L of materials availability for work execution, support of optimal material sourcing decisions through appropriate channels
  • Assess materials availability. Prioritize consumption of materials on hand prior to new purchase (incl. inventory and surplus materials at different sites)
  • Prioritize material needs for Delivery Coordinators, Inventory Analysts and Buyers per business demand
  • Support issue identification and resolution throughout material fulfillment process
  • Key contact for GBCs, responsible for interfacing with various B/L and technical functions to answer materials related questions, interface with external stakeholders – vendors and 3PL warehouse & logistics service providers
  • Support B/L as needed to request budgetary estimates, lead times and materials specs from vendors
  • Prioritize material needs for the vendors as per B/L requirements and provide work schedule direction to kitting & staging process (inclusive of required inventory items)
  • Coordinate break-in logistics (red tag / hot shot / etc.) per B/L needs
  • Provide input to GIM on material utilization for addition or modification to inventory and open bins
  • Interface with key stakeholders on continuous improvement and data quality enhancement
  • Liaise with vendors and warehouse as to the required movement of materials to vendor site for repair/recertification.
  • Responsible to track and monitor equipment that is at vendor to ensure proper return and disposation isadhered to. If required, initate return to stock or disposal process.
  • Ensure items out for repair are prioritized based on criticality and priority for platform operations
