WHAT ROLE WILL YOU PLAY IN OUR TEAM

 

The Major Capital Projects Contracting team is seeking new candidates to its growing dynamic and diverse organization. 

The team supports the ExxonMobil Global Projects Company to deliver major capital projects for all ExxonMobil business lines (Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions) by providing expertise in the areas of contract development, contract administration and market intelligence.  The Contract Engineering Analyst is a technical position that leads the implementation of project contracting strategies and leads the development of contracts and oversees their administration through the project lifecycle working in a global environment with senior Project Management Professionals primarily during the Select, Define and Execute stage of major capital projects.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

•    Support Contracting Strategy development including Work Breakdown Structures, and Contracting Plans
•    Ensure relevant contractor information, market intelligence and lessons learned on previous projects are reviewed and used to optimize project contracting strategies
•    Provide guidance and leadership in contractor screening and qualification, bid slate development, bidding and evaluation of proposals for project contracting activities
•    Lead and manage the project contract development process, including coordination of Job Specification components, assisting in contractor evaluation, selection, and award recommendation
•    Lead the commercial evaluation as a member of the Bid Review Team and ensure that commercial impact of any contractual or technical/execution issues/changes are accurately reflected in final total evaluated cost and contract price
•    Ensure all documents, exhibits and functional review requirements are complete
•    Develop and lead internal kick-off meeting with project team personnel to ensure contract understanding, to review contract terms and conditions, change order process, and claims avoidance. 
•    Develop materials for external kick-off meetings with contractor personnel to review key clauses of the Principal Document, Joint Execution Procedure, contract deliverables, etc.
•    Handle Contract Close-Out activity to ensure all contractual deliverables have been met
•    Develop and maintain standard templates for all project’s types of contracts, and assist with administration and maintenance of digital contracting environment
•    Perform integrity reviews of contract documents developed for Projects prior to tendering and contract award stage
•    Administer Purchase Requisitions / Work Orders for Projects
 

ABOUT YOU: SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Excellent English skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Quickly applies learning, strong ownership and collaboration skills
  • Attention to accuracy and details, and ability to meet priorities and deadlines
  • Legal or project management or construction background with contract development competencies
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Business Administration/Law/Engineering
  • Flexibility for travel and / or work abroad for longer period of time (~12-36 months)
  • 5 years relevant work experience
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hrs./week)
  • Interest in long term career opportunities
