What role you will play in our team
Help grow our ProxximaTM polyolefin thermoset system business. These resin formulations are based on cyclic C5 monomers and other proprietary monomers and additives. Our catalyst formulations have strong foundations in Nobel Prize-winning technology developed by Professor Robert Grubbs and his research team. This powerful combination produces polymers that have the capability to outperform today’s thermoset composite solutions across a broad set of everyday applications such as wind turbine blades, electric vehicle parts, construction, and anticorrosion coatings.
Your role is to help prospective customers around the world convert from their existing thermoset products to ProxximaTM polyolefin thermoset systems by demonstrating cycle time, weight, and physical performance advantages on their composite fabrication equipment.
Your office is at the European Technology and Engineering Complex located in Machelen, Belgium. However, international travel is required to collaborate with technical colleagues located at the Baytown Technology and Engineering Complex is Baytown, Texas, and commercial colleagues located at the ExxonMobil Campus in Spring, Texas.
What will you do
- Provide on-site technical support for customers producing composites via vacuum assisted (VA) and high pressure (HP) resin transfer molding (RTM), pultrusion, and filament winding processes.
- Provide on-site technical support for customers producing non-reinforced molded goods through open mold and reaction injection molding (RIM) processes.
- Assist customers in optimizing / troubleshooting their process to run ProxximaTM resins and, where needed, provide guidance on equipment upgrades.
- Provide technical insights gleaned from the market to help guide new application developments.
- Provide market insights to inform and update business strategy.
- Author technical reports and technical publications to share learnings.
- Co-author promotional brochures and technical data sheets highlighting performance benefits.
- Train and mentor less experienced colleagues.
About you
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience fabricating or supervising manufacturing of thermoset composites.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication and influence from afar skills.
- Proficient in use of computers and possess excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Experience in reaction injection molding (RIM) and/or high-pressure resin transfer molding (HPRTM) is a plus.
- Good team player and self-motivated.
- Fluent English is required.
