Aviation Operations Advisor
Location: Luanda, Angola

What you will do
- Primary interface between the Business Unit and ExxonMobil Aviation Services.
- Oversees Business Unit-level aviation operations and provides functional support.
- Provide Business Unit management with expert and timely aviation advice and guidance with focus on safety, efficiency, cost management, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinates aviation safety reviews and risk assessments of Business Unit operations with EMAS and stewards findings / recommendations to closure.
- Participate in aviation risk assessments and other risk assessments that may require aviation subject matter expertise.
- Provides advice to Business Unit senior managers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Investigates aviation accidents and incidents to determine cause and provide mitigations.
- Assists with preparation of Scopes of Work and technical bid evaluations for aviation services contracts.
- Collects data for the Company Worldwide Aviation Activity Report which captures all Company major aviation statistics.
- Oversight of daily aviation operations, including a daily meetings.
- Be available for any project or request from Supply Chain Manager.
- Be the expert and knowledgeable person for EMAS, AOG – Aviation operations Guide and implement in all aspects the Minimum requirements for operations regarding aircraft equipment, crews, resting periods, fuel quality and minimums, payloads, weather minimums, daylight limitations, etc.,
- Be the expert knowledgeable person for all aviation contracts and have full information on its details as well as terms and clauses and all exhibits and amendments.
- Liaise with Aircraft Operator for any collaboration required, advise on safety management systems and aircraft airworthiness.
- Develop and Maintain relationships with Industry Partners, Governemnt Agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain Contractor Oversight with regards to OIMS, meet with vendor, liaising with Action Plans and required actions and follow-ups on open issues .
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- University bachelor’s degree, preferably in the field of Aeronautical or Aerospace engineering / Acceptable University degree in other field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations (IOGP, AOG and CAA regulations).
- Knowledge of aircraft systems.
- Knowledge and experince on Airport Operations and on Aerodromes / Offshore Helideck Operations.
- Excellent knowledge of aviation regulations and operations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and General IT Skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Master’s Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering from a top-tier university. MIM or MBA is desirable.
- Being a Pilot (ATPL - Airline Transport Pilot licence) or former Pilot.
- Experience as Maintenence Technician in the Aeronautical Industry is a plus.
- Full availability to travel.
- Knowledge of all International and Industry standard requirements pertaining to airport and aircraft operations.
- Strong adherence to health and safety rules and regulations.
- Good communication skills.
- Finance and budgeting skills.
