What role you will play in our team

 

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our team as Deputy Head Of Flying Operations Esso Australia. 
This role will see you working to support Head Of Flying Operations (HOFO) of our Upstream Bass Strait operations, based in Longford Victoria, operating a modern fleet of 5 x AW-139’s. 

What you will do

 

As ExxonMobil Australia Deputy Head Of Flying Operations, you will be responsible to assist the Head Of Flying Operations with the following:

 

  • Control all flight crew training and operational matters affecting the safety of the flying operations as specified in CASR 1998
  • Lead pilot group to achieve best practice outcomes while ensuring flawless safety, health and compliance performance
  • Lead and develop the pilot team, with particular focus on maximising the contribution of each team member to the effective functioning of the team as a whole
  • Ensure standards of pilot performance, competencies and behaviour are met and continuously improved.  This includes recognising good performance, addressing poor performance and initiating any corrective action
  • Ability to recognise and develop improvement opportunities

 

About You

 

Your broad range of skills and experience will enable you to effectively support business needs, opportunity generation and support the EAPL Head Of Flying Operations. Ideally, suitable candidates will bring the following:

 

  • A minimum of 3000 hours Total Flight time
  • A minimum of 1500 Pilot In Command time
  • A minimum of 1200 hours Pilot In Command of Multi-Engine Helicopters
  • AW-139 Multi Crew Type Rated
  • Instrument Rating with Multi-Engine Helicopter Endorsement
  • Helicopter Low Level Rating with Hoist Endorsement
  • Hold current licenses, endorsements and ratings, including an instrument rating, to permit him/her to act as a pilot in command of all company helicopters
  • An understanding and comprehension of air law, air navigation, flight planning, aircraft performance and loading, human performance and limitations, air service operations and flight crew standards
  • Familiar with and have a sound knowledge of CASA regulations
  • An extensive background in all aspects of helicopter operations, particularly in the offshore support role
  • Computer literate - MS Word, Excel etc.
  • Excellent crew resource management and communication skills
  • Good personnel management skills
  • Strong leadership abilities
