We currently have an opportunity for a Trading Regulatory Compliance Advisor, to join our team, responsible for monitoring and managing the compliance activities associated with ExxonMobil’s crude and products physical and derivatives trading activities.

What role would you play within our team.


The key responsibilities are to:


  • Coordinate compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, relating to risk reporting and crude & products trading, with a specific focus on derivatives trading
  • Participate in reviews of new transactions, new products and analyse the impact on compliance
  • Develop and maintain compliance plans, policies & procedures and monitor adherence to these policies 
  • Propose and implement new monitoring techniques based on changes to the business’s trading activity and/or the latest rules and regulations
  • Ensure existing requirements and future reporting specifications are documented and tested 
  • Maintain and perform rigorous counterparty and broker selection processes
  • Develop operational compliance tools, (e.g. policies and procedures, R&R charts) and assist with the preparation of regulatory compliance reports, as required
  • Keep abreast of upcoming, new and revised rules, regulations and directives applicable to the business, and facilitate changes, as required

Who are we looking for.


To be eligible for this role, you should have:


  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Financial discipline 
  • Compliance experience in futures, financial and / or physical commodities trading
  • Advanced knowledge of EU regulations governing financial derivative and commodities markets (MIFID II, EMIR, MAR, BMR …)
  • Working knowledge of commodity regulations/reporting
  • Experience with risk management tools
  • Knowledge or experience with SAP and / or other reporting tools 


Successful candidates should possess a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a team environment.
