What role you will play in our team

 

  • Assist with financial analysis, planning, budgeting, invoice processing, compliance, and project support to enhance financial operations of the facilities management team. 
  • This includes preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting audit activities,cost monitoring, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and utilizing financial systems and tools

What you will do

 

  List the set of primary job duties, tasks, and functions specific to the position: 

 

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, budget stewardship and performance with partners.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Support the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, and support audit activities.
  • Cost Control and Management: Help monitor and control costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support financial efficiency initiatives.
  • Financial Systems and Tools: Utilize financial systems and tools to manage and analyze financial data, and support system improvements.
  • Project Support: Provide financial support for various facilities maintenance and project activities, including data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.

 

About you

 

  • Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program within the past two years.
    Degrees & certifications required for the job should be listed here, listing ‘B.S. or equivalent work experience’ in this section is acceptable if an actual degree is not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields with a minimum of Second Class Upper.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Detail the preferred/desired skills/knowledge applicable to the position
  • Being a chartered accountant with ICAN or ACCA is preferred
  • Knowledge of the use of SAP is an advantage
