ROMeo Application Support Analyst

Job Role Summary

  • Perform 8X5 application support and troubleshooting for Rigorous Online Modeling and Equation-Based Optimization (ROMeo) application and interfaces. Some support may be required outside of primary business hours and on weekends.
  • Periodically perform software updates to include coordinating software installation, testing and following overall change management best practices.
  • Work with vendor and other groups in ExxonMobil Information Technology to troubleshoot issues and communicate status with key business contacts.

Expected Level of Proficiency

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated work experience in providing client-server application support and troubleshooting, particularly with vendor-provided application software.
  • Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • Programming and Scripting (.NET, SQL, JS, VB6, VB Script, Powershell, and Windows Batch Scripting).
    • Server Administration, Technical Infrastructure, Mixed-Platform Environments
    • Active Directory, Registry, WMI, Remote Desktop, DHCP, DNS
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented and logical thinking abilities for systematic problem-solving.
    • Good initiative and self-monitoring skills.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Demonstrate a corporate general interest perspective while pursuing business results.
    • Willing to travel domestically and internationally, although minimal travel would be expected.
