About you

 

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering from a recognized university
• Demonstrated work experience in refining and/or chemicals operations
• Demonstrated work experience in Cost and Schedule Engineering and Control, preferably in the oil and gas / chemical / manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of project management fundamentals, front-end engineering and the relevant skills in project planning, estimation, scheduling as
well as design tools will be an advantage
• Aptitude for other aspects of project development and execution, such as Engineering and Procurement / Contract Engineering / Project
Management
• Able to provide support for multiple projects simultaneously
• An effective team player with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

What you will do

 

• Accountable for the delivery of and technical quality for internal Cost Engineering deliverables to match the Project Objectives and Strategies
(POS).
• Develop cost estimates and project schedules, as well as implement cost control procedures for a variety of small, medium and large
projects; using appropriate tools and systems and engaging design/execution/peer input as required.
• Interface with the business and project teams, specialists and vendors to ensure quality and completeness of estimates and project
schedules
• Work with Benchmarking group to develop relevant benchmarks to be included in the estimate confidence package.
• Support project team in identification, evaluation and capture of capital efficiency opportunities and estimate risks.
• Perform cost reconciliation to previous estimates as project develops.
• Steward Project cost/schedule control with ongoing project analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and Change Management
• Monitoring and appraising the performance of the Contractor(s) in the areas of cost control, progress measurement and control
• Assist in developing/reviewing cost corrective actions and recovery plans, and making sure needed actions/plans are implemented
• Administer the project change control process and communicate implication of changes. Steward the overall Change Management process
