About you

 

Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering from a recognized university or any related recognized industry certifications.
• Demonstrated construction experience in the Oil and Gas and/or Petro-Chemical industries
• Work experience in planning construction sequencing and activities during engineering phase, interfacing with engineering and procurement to incorporate construction
plans, constructability concerns etc.
• Good understanding of safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements, work planning, contractors interface awareness, job packs (including detailed work steps,
identification of needed contractor scope and manpower,, material list, inspection requirements, operational procedures and P&ID's) , etc.
• Able to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience
• Read, write and speak basic English

What you will do

 

Key Responsibilities
• Provide constructability input during design engineering and review execution plans and details with the engineering contractor. Participate in 3D model reviews
• Review and appraise subcontractor’s construction planning and scheduling
• Monitor and appraise construction work for conformance to engineering drawings, design specifications, and Owner’s standards by spot checking actual work
performance
• Monitor and appraise subcontractor’s performance in terms of:
• Construction safety and jobsite physical security
• Productivity and efficient use of construction materials, construction tools, and equipment
• Work procedures and installation of new facilities for acceptable construction practices and quality
• Construction organization and supervisory personnel suggesting corrective actions where deficiencies are noted
• Provide coordination support
• Assist / coordinate with construction planners to ensure consistency between various scopes / areas of the project
• Guidance and input to the Field Inspection Coordinator
• Overall coordinator of interface activities and contact between the subcontractors and Start-up organization
• Participate in subcontract administration matters, including management of changes, and claims and counterclaims as required
