Supply Chain/Logistics Students Seeking Internship/ Co-Op

Job Role Summary

Supply Chain/Logistics Interns & Co-ops have the opportunity to work in several of our busines units:  Midstream, Procurement, and Chemical


Planning – Various positions within planning and scheduling include Raw Material Planner, Production Planner, Deployment Planner and Finite Scheduler.  Develop raw material, deployment, production and packaging plans.  Achieve target customer service levels while accounting for network constraints and optimizing transportation spend and inventory levels throughout the network.  Collaborate on product line management projects and coordinate implementation onsite.  Office-based positions at plant location.


Transportation – Various positions within transportation include Transportation Advisor, Truck Advisor, and Rail Advisor.  Manage carrier performance/relationships and provides transportation logistics expertise to internal and external customers during day-to-day operations.   Identify, develop and implement key strategic initiatives to provide cost savings, promote “Best in Class” processes, and improve/achieve overall business objectives.  Pursue opportunities to reduce costs and seek ways to use transportation as a competitive advantage.  Headquarters and office-based positions at plant location.


Modeler – Utilize logistics modeling tools to analyze supply chain systems to support network optimization initiatives.  Provide data analysis necessary for strategic decision making to optimize supply chain.  Participate in development of projects to improve efficiency at optimal supply chain costs.  Create global network and specialized logistics models to analyze specific areas of the supply chain system.  Headquarters based position.


Project Coordinator – Lead cross-functional project teams to implement product changes approved by the Product Offering Management (POM) team.  Establish and manage POM project timelines and expectations.  Optimize sourcing for new and existing products, packages, and customers.  Headquarters based position


Procurement Sourcing & Acquisition - Strategic planning for current and future needs. Sourcing and delivering materials and services at lowest life-cycle cost for all ongoing operations and capital projects, including efficient warehousing and payment processes. Participating in cross-functional teams to identify and execute breakthrough cost reduction and revenue enhancing initiatives. Executing strategies through development of regional, national and global agreements. Involves bidding, selecting suppliers, negotiating terms and signing contracts. Acting as Supply Chain Manager for suppliers of materials and services. Involves travel, supplier visits, interface with customers and suppliers at all levels of an organization. Benchmarking industry leaders and identifying and implementing internal best practices. Involves research, seminars, and training.
