Job Role Summary


The Tax Controversy Lead will have primary responsibility for all U.S. federal tax controversies. The role includes primary responsibility for strategy, advice and counsel required to resolve issues with IRS Appeals and, if required, in litigation.  Working with a team, the Senior Tax Controversy Lead also will advise and counsel on tax audit issues, tax returns, the tax provision, and other items relating to current and potential future controversies.   The role will require interaction and collaboration with tax advisors for the Corporation’s business units, and the business units themselves, to develop and provide advice and counsel on federal tax controversies, as appropriate.  

Job Requirements


• Minimum of 8 years of federal tax experience
• Minimum of 5 years of federal tax controversy experience
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
• Minimum of a Juris Doctorate or Masters in Taxation
