Job Role Summary


ExxonMobil is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to provide reservoir engineering expertise for Oil & Gas development projects. The candidates will be responsible for working with multi-discipline teams to provide reservoir performance forecasting, develop depletion plans, and optimize asset development plans. The candidates will leverage fundamental reservoir engineering and reservoir simulation skills in reservoir characterization, development planning, opportunity generation, and production optimization. The position is located at ExxonMobil Spring campus in Texas.

Job Role Responsibilities


  • KEY: Willingness and ability to model / simulate Conventional developments
  • Planning, evaluation and/or execution of field development / drill well programs
  • Identifying key reservoir uncertainties and providing recommendations to mitigate risks
  • Improving reservoir description through fluid analysis, core evaluation, well testing interpretation, and production performance analysis
  • Conducting production forecasts and reserves assessments to support development / depletion planning and production optimization opportunities
  • Developing and/or leveraging new reservoir engineering technologies to support business solution

Job Requirements


Candidates should be self-motivated and focused on achieving business results while working in a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated teamwork, communication and leadership skills are essential. 

Technical skill requirements are as follows:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required - preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical; Advanced Degrees (Master’s / PhD) also welcome
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Reservoir Engineering
  • Eclipse / INTERSECT Reservoir Simulation experience, including developing and updating / history matching models
  • Previous experience in analytical performance prediction, asset development and depletion planning, reserves assessment, reservoir surveillance & optimization, volumes forecasting, economic analysis and data management is required
