About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Compliance Lead / Advisor to serve as a subject matter expert with a primary focus on Import/Export and International Compliance as it applies to the Americas. This includes knowledge of valuation, transfer pricing, HTS Classification, Special Duty Programs, and C-TPAT. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expertise across all of ExxonMobil’s business lines, functions and stakeholders in support of base business, growth initiatives and projects. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining processes and procedures to ensure adherence to regulations.
What you will do
- Serves as the SME for trade compliance focusing on import/export and international trade compliance in the Americas
- Monitor regulations, determine business impact of new/changing regulations, standards, and agreements
- Improve and standardize Trade Compliance processes; develop and support programs to transform and improve performance and risk metrics
- Proactively inform and recommend compliance solutions for new/changing Trade Regulations
- Support reporting of regulatory incidents and findings, document incidents and monitor closure to correct/prevent future occurrences
- Involvement in industry association and advocacy efforts on behalf of Exxon Mobil Corporation
- Provide trade compliance expertise in support of ExxonMobil growth initiatives and projects
- Act as a leader to accomplish goals across organizational and functional boundaries
- Manage relationships internally and externally including oversight of third-party freight forwarders monitoring their performance and KPIs
About you
Skills and Qualification
- 4-year degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) plus a minimum of 7-years trade regulation work experience
- Ability and knowledge to act as the Subject Matter Expert for U.S. trade compliance and international trade regulations
- Supply Chain Experience
- Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools
- Proficient in the use of SAP Industry Software, Microsoft Office products, and Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High ethical standards and integrity
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petro-Chemical Export/Import Compliance
- Supply Chain Experience
- Experience in a multinational corporation or a global compliance role
- Ability to influence others through informal and indirect leadership
- Ability to analyze and trouble-shoot issues
