About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team
As an Organization Development and Effectiveness Advisor you will be responsible for driving organizational performance through effective diagnosis, change management, organizational design, and team/leader effectiveness initiatives. This role focuses on enabling business transformation by aligning structures, processes, and people strategies with organizational goals. You will lead efforts to develop/ implement organization diagnosis methodology/ tools, apply leading organization design methods and to integrate formal structures with informal dynamics and operational enablers, and/or guide/ lead change on key initiatives.
What you will do
Organization Diagnosis
- Apply structured methodologies (e.g., 5 Star, Congruence, Systems Thinking) to lead organization diagnostics.
- Leverage organization data to bring forward key insights to senior leaders and HR
- Develop enhanced tools, methodologies and measurements to increase diagnostics effectiveness.
Organizational Design
- Execute org design efforts across business units including upstream, downstream, low carbon solutions, and centralized organizations
- Conduct org diagnostics including spans & layers, role clarity, workflow bottlenecks, and informal network insights.
- Develop future-state structures, capability maps, governance models, and teaming norms.
- Facilitate design workshops and decision forums with HR and business leaders.
- Establish ways of working (team agreements, collaboration norms), governance (decision rights, accountability frameworks), and performance enablers (KPIs/OKRs, P&L alignment).
- Model financial and operational implications; run solution options and trade off sessions.
- Facilitate embedding new structures and behaviors to ensure alignment with business strategy.
Change Management
- Apply structured methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR®) to lead change management activities across projects.
- Conduct change impact assessments and stakeholder analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
- Develop and execute change management strategies, including communication, training, and resistance management plans.
- Partner with project teams, HR, and business leaders to integrate change activities into project plans.
- Create actionable deliverables such as sponsor roadmaps, coaching plans, and adoption tracking tools
- Establish feedback loops and success metrics to monitor adoption and sustain value capture
Team/ Leader Effectiveness
- Analyze team effectiveness and address concerns with appropriate solutions
- Design solutions to address trending team/leader effectiveness needs at scale
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in organization design/OD/HR strategy in large, matrixed environments (energy, industrials, life sciences, or similar asset intensive sectors).
- Proven delivery in ODE in large matrixed global environment including organization diagnostics and quantitative analysis, delivery of change management and/or organization design across the end to end life cycle. Must have organization diagnostics or organization design relevant experience.
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills; ability to influence across functions and geographies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with acute business acumen.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in ambiguous environments.
- Comfort operating from strategy altitude to detailed implementation; structured problem solving and crisp documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office, project management methodologies, data tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI).
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Prosci Change Management Certification.
- Familiarity with project management approaches and lifecycle phases.
- Team/ Leader effectiveness experience/ skills
- Knowledge of behavioral science applications in organizational development.
- Proficiency in smartsheets and data visualization.
- Deeper expertise in organization diagnosis or organization design.
