Occupational Health (OH) Nurse Practitioner

Job Role Summary:

ExxonMobil's Medicine and Occupational Health Department is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner in Spring,TX.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Provision / documentation of services within the professional scope and standards of license specific to occupational health care of employees
  • Perform routine medical surveillance and fitness for duty examinations as required by global and local MOH evaluation protocols
  • Conduct clinical assessments to determine fitness for duty (understand relationship between work functions and medical condition which guide decision making)
  • Disability case management of work-related and personal illnesses and injuries
  • Manage work-related medical conditions, evaluate injuries for OSHA record ability
  • Provision of emergency medical treatment for injury / illness at work
  • Work / communicate with local business line management regarding occupational health issues and service delivery
  • Administrative duties related to delivery of the occupational health service, including scheduling of appointments, maintenance of records, supplies, medications and equipment
  • Provide health related training / seminars to site employees

Job Requirements:

  • Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) – Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner or equivalent
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Texas Nursing Licensure required
  • Prescriptive authority, DEA certification

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Occupational Health Nursing
  • Active Certifications in Drug & Alcohol Collection, NIOSH Spirometry, CAOHC Audiometry, Blood-borne pathogens training and BLS
  • Well-developed critical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills/conflict management, functions well working on a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to produce clear, concise, and logical documentation for all cases
  • Customer service oriented
