Job Role Summary

Exxon Mobil Corporation has an immediate opening for an experienced Paralegal to work full-time in the Litigation Section of the Law Department.  This position is located in Spring, Texas. 

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinating all aspects of the eDiscovery process, working closely with the legal team to ensure effective and defensible handling of data from data preservation and collection through final review and production;
  • Legal and factual research;
  • Pre-trial case development;
  • Trial preparation and support;
  • Preparing management presentations and other communications with clients;
  • Performing a variety of administrative duties.

Job Requirements

Individuals seeking this position should have the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm , corporate  or agency environment;
  • Experience coordinating all phases of the eDiscovery life-cycle;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and eDiscovery platforms (including Relativity);
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with state and federal court rules;
  • Ability to work independently, as well as closely with clients, outside counsel, and other team members;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented with strong emphasis on quality control aspects of all work;
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure;
  • Demonstrated good judgment, discretion, diligence, dependability, and a strong work ethic;
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or ABA-approved paralegal certification desired, but not required.
