Financial Process Innovation Lead - Financial Systems

Job Role Summary

ExxonMobil is looking for a Global Process Innovation Lead to support the strategic transformation of the finance organization to leverage the next generation SAP systems.  Candidates must have background in, and passion for innovation, financial and process transformation, data analytics, project management and financial systems. The Global Process Innovation Lead will interface with multiple business functions across the global financial organization and will play a vital role in ExxonMobil’s strategic program to transform our end-to-end financial process, analytics and reporting capabilities. 

 

This role will have a key responsibility in the design and implementation of a process innovation Center of Excellence (COE) for Finance.  The COE will be responsible to ensure that process innovation and design thinking are imbedded in the Finance Transformation efforts to enable process improvement / reengineering and increased collaboration towards creative solutions.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Build and execute a framework to effectively drive innovation
  • Partner with IT and Business Innovation Leads to enhance best practice sharing and collaboration, including sharing of innovative tools and innovation days 
  • Partner with Finance Transformation Program to effectively deliver new innovative technology to end-users and be a catalyst for employees to leverage technology to innovate financial processes
  • Develop expertise across the Corporation for the application of Design Thinking principles to the Finance functions
  • Communicate, coordinate and present to varying levels of management across multiple stakeholders worldwide
  • Proactively and creatively think of new and innovative ways to approach problems and process design
  • Drive process transformation through application of analytical capability
  • Assess, design and improve complex financial analysis, reporting and accounting processes

 

Through these activities you will participate in business decisions, improve our processes, and work closely with Finance, IT and business line management.  Demonstrated performance may lead to increasing responsibility and opportunities across the financial organizations. 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, 10+ years preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in innovation and process transformation in financial services, business analysis & reporting, and accounting
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with and capacity to quickly learn about Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and accounting systems such as SAP
  • Experience in Oil and Gas is a plus
