Federal Income Tax Compliance Senior Tax Analyst

Job Summary

The Senior Federal Tax Analyst will be responsible for U.S. federal income tax reporting for domestic and foreign entities. The analyst will be located in Spring, TX and will primarily be responsible for preparing U.S. federal income tax returns, tax basis balance sheets, reporting on results, and responding to questions and inquiries.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Gather and analyze data and prepare support for federal income tax estimated payments, tax basis balance sheet, and tax returns.
  • Prepare federal income tax returns with appropriate support, attachments and documentation.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in accounting or finance, with preferred emphasis on Taxation.
  • Experienced in the preparation of U.S. Federal Income Tax and informational returns for domestic and foreign entities; Forms 1120, 1065, 1120F, 5471, 8865 and 8858.
  • Experienced in the determination of deferred income tax and tax basis balance sheets and the accounting and reporting of income taxes.
  • Experienced in the determination of earnings and profits (E&P) adjustments for foreign entities to maintain E&P, PTI and tax pools.
  • Prepare stock basis, asset basis, etc. for planning transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and manage short deadlines.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including advanced Excel tools for data analysis.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational competencies.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • A minimum of 3 years federal income tax compliance
  • Technical federal and state tax knowledge
  • Experience using CorpTax
  • Exposure to SAP
  • Knowledge of oil and gas taxation
  • Experience handling federal or state tax audits
  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • A minimum of 2 years federal income tax compliance
  • Technical federal and state tax knowledge
  • Experience using CorpTax
