Clean Products Supply Logistics Coordinator

Job Role Summary

• The Supply Logistics Coordinator (SLC) is responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing the end-to-end supply and logistics activity for bulk physical movements of clean fuels products in the U.S.  The SLC also manages inventory downstream of the refinery (primarily in pipelines and terminals) to agreed operating targets and year-end levels.

Job Role Responsibilities

• Coordinates with ExxonMobil refineries, marketing (Retail, Wholesale Fuels, and Aviation), and exchange partners to forecast and plan supply / demand balances, trigger buy / sell signals to traders.
• Nominates requirements to pipeline, marine, and rail carriers; monitors and executes product movement from origin facilities into and out of terminal tankage and truck racks.
• Manages inventory downstream of refinery to agreed operating targets and year-end levels; sets appropriate terminal safety stock levels.
• Maintains supply reliability to marketing and third party customers.
• Good understanding of optimization, long term planning of cargo/ product supply, market conditions, how to control or reduce operational costs, contract terms & conditions and invoicing
• Communicates supply disruptions and unplanned supply events; assesses and implements mitigating steps.
• Uses commercial judgment & problem solving skills to solve operational problems.
• Communicates terminal sales or lifting trends to Pricing and Customer Service groups.
• Coordinates seasonal RVP product conversions.
• Interfaces with key logistics partners to ensure effective operations.
• Supports refinery, pipeline, and terminal volume growth initiatives.
• Ensures adherence to credit guidelines, regulatory and quality compliance, and transportation policies (i.e. vessel screening process).
• Provides feedback on logistical capabilities and limitations of the ExxonMobil supply chain system in support of the development of long range supply and distribution strategies.
• Participates in geographic asset-based team to promote the value-added objectives of the integrated Refining & Supply business.

Job Requirements

• Must have Engineering Bachelor’s degree, Supply Chain Bachelor’s degree or Business Bachelor’s degree
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in coordinating of petroleum supply, inventory management and supply chain logistics
• Experience in Refining, Pipeline or Chemical Operations is a plus
• Willing and able to respond to after-hours calls requiring scheduling actions

• Solid proficiency in the use of computers and Office software (Microsoft Suite of Programs).  Use of database programs, Tableau, SAP programs is an asset

• Promotes productive impact across organizations; seeks value-added improvements in the supply chain
