Pre-employment Testing Requirement

This Operations and Mechanical (O&M) position requires pre-employment testing.  Both experience and entry-level candidates are strongly encouraged to apply; prior experience in the oil and gas industry is not a pre-requisite. Job Role Summary

ExxonMobil is currently seeking personnel to operate its plant facilities at its future Gulf Coast Growth Venture site located in the Gregory, TX area.

 

Location:  Successful candidates will be hired initially to work temporarily at one of the ExxonMobil Beaumont Chemical Plant, but will be subsequently assigned to a permanent position at the future Gulf Coast Growth Venture facility in Gregory, TX.  

 

Important Consideration for Candidates

Candidates should apply if they are willing and able to:

  1. Accept an initial temporary assignment at the ExxonMobil Beaumont Chemical Plant for training, knowledge attainment of EM units, procedures, processes, systems, etc.
  2. Accept a subsequent permanent assignment at the future Gulf Coast Growth Venture facility at the time of startup or earlier
  3. Live in temporary housing while working at the Beaumont Chemical Plant with some financial assistance from ExxonMobil
  4. Work for a Company that values strong job performance with periodic performance assessments.

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and validate analyzer PM/Safety Critical/HCP procedures
  • Ensure compliance of our safety program by performing “Loss Prevention Assessments” an“Loss Prevention Observations”
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrations of all types of analyzers, gas detectors, and sample systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and hydrocarbon controls practice task
  • Check out and commissioning of new analyzers and sample systems
  • Work within SAP to close work orders with repair history and as found as left data
  • Identify and Initiate modification to improve equipment reliability and safety
  • Train others and support the Analyzer Engineers and Specialist
  • Work overtime, call-outs, holidays, weekends, shift work, and around hazardous flammable chemicals (with proper training and equipment)
  • Following good housekeeping practices in your work areas
  • Maintain storehouse spares by returning properly rebuilt equipment and requesting new spares as needed

Prefferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an maintenance analyzer technician in a petrochemical plant
  • Strong safety ethics
  • Following written procedures
  • Demonstrated prior relevant work experience
  • Analyzer related education
  • Proficient in troubleshooting analyzer/sample systems
  • Familiarity with a preventive maintenance program
  • Experience with the following:
    • Process Gas Chromatographs
    • Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS)
    • CEMS data acquisition and validation system
    • Tunable diode laser analyzers
    • Paramagnetic O2 analyzers
    • BTU analyzers
    • Other analyzer including water chemistry, density, LEL sensors
    • Various types of sample systems
  • Proficient in reading and understanding:
    • P&IDs, Knowledge of Chemistry, Knowledge of Chromatography
