What role you will play in our team

 

Our Mechanical Integrity Engineers are responsible for the provision of mechanical, corrosion, inspection and materials engineering support to the refinery and petrochemical plant.

 

What you will do

 
The key responsibilities include:
 

  • Providing engineering input to manage the mechanical integrity of our fixed equipment assets
  • Ensuring compliance to legislation, such as pressure systems safety regulations, through our written schemes of examination
  • Act as a Technical Advisor to our business teams, providing assistance with risk based decision making, management of change and owners engineering
  • Assessing equipment condition in the field and defining repair scopes to fixed equipment
  • Developing worklists for events/turnarounds and supporting work scope creation to ensure safe, reliable operation
  • Mentoring other engineers, with the aim of developing both our knowledge and people 

About you

 

To be eligible for this role, you should: 
 

  • Hold an engineering degree in materials or mechanical engineering, or an equivalent subject.
  • Be; be working towards being or be prepared to work towards being, a Chartered Engineer, as defined by the Engineering Council or equivalent. (This is supported by our IMechE accredited MPDS scheme) 
  • Candidates experienced with pressure systems is preferred but not essential. We would welcome applications from individuals who have experience in other related industries such as pipelines and power. 
  • Successful candidates should possess a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a team environment.
