Job Role Summary


SAP Financial Business process analyst to support SAP Upstream systems
Business Process Area: Financial Accounting & Reporting

Job Role Responsibilities


• Clients: ExxonMobil Financial users spread around the globe – e.g.: Corporate Financial Services; Upstream Controllers;
• Technology Platform: SAP ERP systems
• Work on Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) environment using Agile methodologies to speed value delivery to the business 

Scope & Skills Required
Primary focus on Upstream Financial Accounting & Reporting
   • General Ledger / Journal Voucher Postings / Accruals
   • System Validations and Substitutions rules
   • Experience with new company code set-up
    • Posting interfaces (e.g. Payroll accounting; satellite systems interfacing with SAP)
    • Cost accounting (CO) module knowledge – including integration with GL and Joint Venture module
   • Forex accounting and Special Ledger reporting
     • Candidates with Fixed Assets or Project System knowledge will be a plus
   • Month end Close support with close interaction with customers in different regions; coordination across Application Teams (Financial, Payables (PtP), Technical Teams – basis, ABAP programmers, Security).
   • On-call support during critical month end close days
   • Analyze, design, test and implement system changes
   • Incident and problem resolution
   • Project and base support experience (medium to high complexity)
 Other requirements
• Candidates with Financial Business process background in Upstream business and system processes will be a plus
• Ability to produce good design documents to deliver sound solutions – interaction with SAP program team
• Must speak, read and write English fluently
• Excellent problem solving / analysis skills
• Ability to quickly learn both technical and functional processes
• Good decision making and business judgment with customer focus
• Adaptable to time pressures and changing priorities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork competencies (key)
• Capable to work in a global and multi-cultural team
• University degree or equivalent
• Candidates with Agile methodologies knowledge will be a plus – Scrum; Kanban; SAFe

Expected Level of Proficiency


Minimum experience of 5 years working with General Ledge and Financial reporting with experience in both base and project work - see Job Role Responsibilities for details
Very strong candidates with less than 5 years experience can be considered
