Job Role Summary

Leading efforts around implementing quality best practices on stable teams or projects, including test automation, unit testing, ATDD, quality metrics, test management tools, test execution and defect root cause analysis.  Helping teams continuously improve along the quality maturity model.

Job Role Responsibilities

• Work as embedded member with projects and stable Agile teams
• Perform testing maturity assessment and develop testing strategy
• Participate in team ceremonies (Standups, Sprint planning, Retrospectives/ Demos)
• Train and coach the team and participate in quality practices, including:
o ATDD and requirements development
o TDD and Unit testing – explain benefits and get training for team
o Test management tools (HP ALM, TFS, JIRA)
o Test automation – risk weighting, test case design, get training for team
o Performance Testing – determine if PT is needed, and engage PT team
o Quality gates – define and implement for changes moving through landscape 
o BPCA – for SAP, understand BPCA process and help integrate into test case selection and automation
o Delivery pipeline - integration of test automation with release management 
o Test data management - explain why it's needed, and utilize tools/processes 
o Security testing - evaluate needs, and bring in Security team for vulnerability and penetration testing
o Interface knowledge - how to determine what they are, if they need to be tested, how to test, interface contacts
• Actively participate in agile release/sprint planning, user story creation, and acceptance criteria, leading to test case development
• Develop automated tests
• Determine non-functional testing requirements (i.e. performance, usability, penetration testing, etc.)
• Implement test environment setup and data management
• Define and track Quality Assurance metrics including defects, defect counts, test results, and test status
• Responsible for test planning and leading execution of formal test plan 
• Demonstrate leadership
• Domain knowledge in at several sub functions of the application
 

Expected Level of Proficiency

Fluent/Advance English
10+ years in QA
Strong leadership thru influence (will not have direct reports),
Communication skills
Organization
Work with strong, challenging personalities
Confident
