Planning and Scheduling Application Support Analyst

Job Role Summary

Application support for software used to conduct maintenance at refineries and chemical plants Basic Function of the Workgroup: Resolve application issues, implement system enhancements, and participate in large global projects and SWIs. Work closely with Business CoE and user groups to understand business processes and in requirement gathering, testing and implementation

Job Role Responsibilities

As part of global planning & scheduling application support team, the key objective of the position is to ensure applications’ availability to facilitate manufacturing planners’ & schedulers’ day to day operation globally, and continuously look for improvements to meet business requirements and operation efficiency. Role and Responsibilities
Participate in projects and SWIs for application upgrades, replacements, and rollouts
Partner with global Business CoE to provide application break-fix and enhancements
Perform application troubleshooting and technical analysis to identify root causes and develop problem resolutions
Coordination with other EMIT support teams to maintain application reliability
Assess risk and identify control items for potential changes to the application and its environment. Ensure security and controls standards are being met and followed
Develop and update system and support documentation

Expected Level of Proficiency

.NET C#
.NET Entity Framework o Windows Client/Server experience with SQL/Oracle database
Good English communicator and collaborator o Able to prioritize based on business need o Manage workload under time pressure and changing priorities o Ability to work remotely with team members and business users.
Analytical and logical with the ability to define and interpret business requirements
Can learn new systems technologies quickly Skill Nice-to-haves o Agile experience o AngularJS o RESTful Web APIs Business Environment
Customer base is the manufacturing Planners & Schedulers group around the globe in the Chemical Company and Downstream Refining. Key locations are in US, Canada, Europe and AP.
Application support team is a global team, located in Curitiba, Brazil; Singapore; and Houston. The majority are in Curitiba.
Key Business CoE representatives are in the USA
