What role you will play in your team

 

  • Evaluate mechanical technologies to increase plant safety and productivity
  • Lead and/or participate in team meetings for packaging lines continuous improvement from a mechanical standpoint
  • Work with Maintenance representatives to review initiatives/activities for effectiveness and identify these changes in the Site Maintenance Plan for packaging equipment
  • Maintain rigorous oversight of the department’s budget, ensuring financial discipline, cost control, and alignment with organizational financial goals.
  • Participate on Engineering activities and accountable for identifying appropriate reliability activities, analysis/modeling, and recommendations on sparing strategy to align incremental projects with OEE targets and business objectives.
  • Based in Vallejo Lube Oil Blending Plant, Mexico City.

What you will do

 

  • Work with Maintenance representatives to review initiatives/activities for effectiveness and identify these changes in the Site Maintenance Plan for packaging equipment
  • Engage with third parties for quality components incident investigation
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to internal controls and cataloging requirements, ensuring regulatory and procedural compliance.
  • Maintain rigorous oversight of the department’s budget, ensuring financial discipline, cost control, and alignment with organizational financial goals.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and materials to support maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with operations supervisors and other departments to ensure packaging line efficiency and meet production targets. 
  • Overseeing a team of mechanical personnel (contractors), providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Evaluate mechanical technologies to increase plant safety and productivity
  • Oversee PSMS (Process Safety Management System) tools usage and application within the line mechanics

Preferred Skills/ Experience

 

  • Engineering degree required, Reliability, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Chemical, etc.
  • Lube plant or maintenance engineering related experience
  • Strong problem solving/Analytical skills
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge/skills
  • Packaging machinery troubleshooting and repair
  • Strong ability to identify and resolve operational issues, including machinery breakdowns and quality defects.
  • Effective Communication, Building Consensus, Team Leadership
