Job Summary


  • The Laboratory Technician is responsible for assuring the quality of the materials used, terminaled finished products, and that products made meet specifications. The Laboratory Technician maintains high levels of quality control and quality assurance that will certify product quality and promote site efficiency.  The Laboratory Technician will also provide support and guidance to site and marketing field personnel about product status and results. 




Job Responsibilities


  • Ensure raw material, terminaled finished product and finished product manufactured quality through quality control testing and compliance to site quality assurance procedures
  • Maintain equipment systems and materials including calibrations and Statistical Quality Control (SQC ) to support the testing process
  • Review test methods for compliance with industry standards
  • Maintain Quality Assurance Laboratory Information Management System  (QALIMS) and data management systems
  • Provide timely and accurate data to optimize site manufacturing and packaging efficiencies
  • Meet customer service expectations through efficient and accurate product quality results and documentation requirements
  • Comply with testing procedures as written, training requirements and record retention guidelines
  • Support Laboratory goals to meet operational excellence
  • Aid in meeting quality objectives established in the Quality Practices and Guidelines  (QP&G )
  • Support the quality of products through adherence to quality policies and procedures
  • Comply with all applicable local, state and federal regulatory standards related to health, safety and environment
  • Comply with Brand Product Integrity (BPIMS) and Global Product Integrity Management System (GPIMS) standards to:
    • Protect product quality
    • Adhere to regulatory requirements
    • Provide accurate product representation
    • Ensure product performance as formulated




Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field OR a minimum of two years of laboratory experience
  • Basic mathematical, chemistry, and statistics skills
  • Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectively
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethic
  • Attention to detail and concern for accuracy
  • Must be willing and able to work in small team environments
  • High standards and dedication to continuous improvement
