What role you will play in our team

 

Supervisor who will manage site operations in compliance with all pertinent regulations and applicable standards while ensuring the well-being of employees, contractors and the environment. Ensure reliable cost effective operations and product movements by marine, pipeline, rail, or truck to generate cash/profits for the company.  

What you will do

 

  • Provide leadership and assumes administrative responsibility for subordinates
  • Create high performing team: stewards employee development; coaches, mentors and supervises direct reports
  • Ensure that all employees meet applicable personnel and process safety, security, health, and environment (SSHE) requirements
  • Responsible for compliance with all corporate, local and legal requirements and regulatory standards (SSHE, Controls, Brand/Product Integrity, USCG, DOT)
  • Confirm contractor work activities, ensuring that work is completed in a manner consistent with contractual requirements and Company expectations
  • Ensure that activities are in compliance with applicable ExxonMobil management systems (e.g., OIMS, CIMS, GPQMS/GPIMS)
  • Accountable for maintaining high levels of work reliability, cost effective operations, and/or product movements to generate cash/profits for the company
  • Manage within the budget, identifies and captures efficiencies and prioritizes work commitments
  • Coordinate the deployment of personnel and all work activities in the field under his/her responsibility
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes the optimization of assets, manpower, and logistics
  • Oversee emergency response contingency plans and activity implementation
  • Where applicable, ensure customers' needs are met
  • May be responsible for managing labor relations within assigned area 
  • May be responsible for Community relations covering assigned area
  • Understand appropriate agreements within area of responsibility in order to ensure compliance to contractual and operating standards and key interface to deliver requirements of the specific position
  • Oversee the overall management of building systems, maintenance and repairs, grounds, etc
  • May be responsible for coordinating product movements with HQ Supply and transportation contractors

 

May be responsible for backfilling Area Supervisor or other operational roles

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • 3yrs of Process Safety Knowledge of HVLs
  • Trained in Emergency Response as Incident Commander
  • Trained in work permitting
  • Trained is Process Safety High Risk work
  • Experience with Tanks, pressure vessels, pipelines, marine and rail operations
  • Experience with transportation of HVLs
  • Experience with HVL storage 
  • Experience with HVL movements
  • Experience with managing large projects
  • Focuses on what is right and manages the consequences as needed; weighs outcomes to determine the best course of action; recognizes and encourages personal and/or business risk; defines and selects alternative solutions; uses sound judgment to make timely decisions to ensure maximizing integrated value
  • Demonstrates personal ownership for developing self and others to reach full potential; leads by example; guides and influences others to take initiative and responsibility in order to become more effective and achieve personal growth whether as a supervisor, mentor or peer

  • Capable of using computer systems and software to drive efficiencies in work processes and manage base business activities such as scheduling, planning, and budgeting
