The IT department is seeking new candidates to its dynamic team. The department provides support worldwide to the Organizations all along the value chain from exploration thru site development to production.
What role you will play in our team
- Support, manage and evolve ExxonMobil´s Remote Graphics Platform (R-GFX) used by geologists to run technical applications to visualize subsurface data and perform reservoir simulations. Main activities: bare metal & virtual infrastructure management, platform automation delivery & consulting, IT data analytics.
- Our office is located in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires and you will interact with geoscientists and users from all around the world.
What you will do
- Manage tools for monitoring, alerting, configuration management, automation and other relevant software applications,
- Develop infrastructure as code in support of existing infrastructure automation initiatives in an Agile environment,
- Document process automation and update security standards for said process,
- Work in close coordination with architects, Engineering teams, analysts and stakeholders in a dynamic environment to translate requirements into end-to-end solutions,
- Platform and systems security awareness (authorization, authentication, security best practices, etc.)
About you
- Bachelor Degree or close to graduating in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computing Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Analysis or similar
- Advanced verbal and written communication English skills
- 2+ years’ experience in an Infrastructure or Site Reliability Engineering role, applying DevOps principles
- Experience managing Windows/Microsoft environments on physical and virtual infrastructure
- Proficiency in code versioning tools (e.g. Git), experience with build management and CI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, GitHub Repos & Actions)
- Scripting and coding skills oriented to automation and orchestration (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform)
- Strong unit test and debugging skills / troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Working experience in an Agile organization
- Continuous learning mindset
- Proficiency with programming languages
- Prior experience working with Linux (e.g. installation, configuration and administration)
- Demonstrable technical skills on backend services including setup, administration, scaling and monitoring
- Networking core concepts (e.g. proxy, VLANS, Firewall, IP Addressing, ExpressRoute)
- Verifiable hands-on experience working with Terraform, ARM/CloudFormation templates or similar technologies
- General knowledge about REST API's best practices
