WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM:

There is a growing network of 5000+ gas stations in Europe operating under the Esso brand, and selling to motorist high quality fuels, Mobil1 and other lubricant products, coffee, food and grocery items. Forecourt payment and loyalty solutions (including digital payment and loyalty applications), and the underlying IT infrastructure are a fundamental element of our brand proposition and they are expected to deliver frictionless consumer experience while meeting the highest system security standards. We build on long term commercial relationships with market leading vendors to do so.

 

We are looking for Product Advisor, in our growing Fuels Value Chain (FVC) Analytics team to act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for end-use analytics support to FVC data consumers in use of analytics for effective insight generation. The Product Advisor needs to interface with FVC Business Process Advisors, Global Group Advisors, Data foundation, Analytics managers, ExxonMobil IT Data & Analytics teams to effectively fulfill his/her responsibilities.

 

  • Single point of contact for end-use analytics support to FVC data consumers in use of analytics for effective insight generation
  • Manages FVC user story life cycle; shapes demand for FVC analytics
  • Facilitates FVC analytics Power User Network(s)
  • Project Support: Owns FVC analytics requirements on behalf of the business; participates in project design workshops and UAT with development team

WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

  • Provide business facing support for FVC business process users using internal data and external data (market & competitive data, aka M&CI) for analytics
  • Enables efficient consumption of data through analytics data models and applications
  • Leverages analytical and business intelligence skills to translate business requirements into data models / visualizations / user stories for effective insight generation and enablement of business processes.
  • Analyzes business processes and identifies / implements improvement opportunities via analytics
  • Assesses if data set is fit-for-use; validates data integrity for modeling and user story development
  • Proactively gathers future business requirements for use in analytics enhancements; translates requirements for effective use by project team

ABOUT YOU: SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Degree in with Computer Science/Engineering
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a fast-paced environment/multinational company
  • Business Process Expertise: SME in Fuels Value Chain
  • Business Analysis: Integrates business knowledge / judgment with data mining and analytics to support the generation of accurate and relevant business insights
  • Project Management: Applies project management process skills and principles to work activities to support initiatives and projects.
  • Process Management: Applies continuous improvement processes to develop, implement and sustain analytics platforms via use of CI tools and leveraging analytics technologies.
  • Systems and Tools:  good working knowledge of SAP database technologies (HANA data models, Business Warehouse reporting cubes), and related front-end data extraction tools (SAP/BOBI, Tableau, Excel)
  • Interpersonal Skills:

- Ability to work virtually and able to effectively interact with large and diverse user community  

- Excellent verbal communication in English, very strong interpersonal skill; good influencing skills

- Strong initiative, solution oriented and multi-tasking skills

- Willingness for continuous professional development and improvements
