Network Group


The Network Infrastructure team in Budapest is responsible for maintaining and developing the entire Europe, Middle East and Africa network of ExxonMobil. Be it office locations, plants, refineries, retail locations or offshore oil platforms, Budapest is supporting the most critical IT backbone of the company. Our teams engineer and implement solutions and keep pushing the envelope when it comes to reliability, speed and security. We utilize industry standard solutions and manufacturers and provide the means for continuous training and obtaining the latest certificates needed for your job. We are looking for freshgraduates and experienced people in Network.


Network Analyst/ Engineer


 As a Network Analyst / Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide L3/break fix support for Operations, including developing and implementing non-standard solutions for production problems.
  • Develop and perform implementation activities for all service and customer projects (based on Engineering deliverables).
  • Perform Quality Assurance activities for Engineering designs which includes identifying and submitting network design issues to Engineering.
  • Openness on-call and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Primary contact for vendor in support of operational problems.
  • Develop and maintain Technical Support process and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain process for hand-over of technology and service to Operations.
  • Develop and maintain Network Service Support Models.
  • Develop and maintain workflow automation.
  • Assist with both development and maintenance.


Windows Server Administrator


As a Windows Server Adminstrator you will be responsible for the following:

  • Build and install Windows Server Software (2012 – 2016).
  • Maintain Microsoft infrastructure.
  • System and infrastructure log analyses.
  • Potential issue and/or problem identification and resolution – Level 3.
  • Routine audits of systems and software.
  • Perform backups and recovery.
  • Install patches and configuration changes during after-hours and routine maintenance windows.
  • Monitor system performance and health, perform system tuning and optimizations.
  • Develop and draft technical documentation, including preparation and maintenance of standard operating procedures related to the network and/or systems supported.

    Professional requirements:

  • 3+ years of Windows Server Administration.
  • 5 + years of server hardware experience, physical (blades, towers, and racks) and Virtualized.
  • 3 + years of VMWare administration.
  • 3 + years of backup and recovery (files, systems, bare metal or snap).
  • Years of IT experience required: 5-8 years.S

 Senior Linux or Storage Engineer



As Senior Linux or Storage Engineer, you will be in charge of:

  • As Role holder you have to implement and operate Linux servers, Linux based open source applications, virtualisation solutions, storage arrays, and backup systems for internal services and external customers.
  • Design assurance – working with external & internal teams to support and maintain effective design and development standards.
  • Technical support (2nd & 3rd level) and problem diagnosis/resolution on customers managed infrastructure, on-call might be required.
  • Continuous service improvements including automation, patch management and server optimisation including relevant documentation and design changesDirect customer contact for technological questions during the implementation and project phase.
  • Definition of guidelines, standards and working procedures for the technologies in scope.
  • Active participation in international projects and with global support teams; responsibility for systems administration across country borders.

    Professional skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Linux operating system administration and experience with backup & restore solutions.
  • Knowledge of standards and technology trends in the storage environment, in particular NetApp/EMC storage.
  • Experience in the area of server virtualization based on VMware and ideally Red Hat kvm.
  • Experience with storage area networks and protocols is a must (CISCO MDS, FC, FCoE).
  • Knowledge of high availability systems, in particular Red Hat cluster and VMware based concepts is an advantage.
  • Experience in Network & Security (DNS, DHCP, proxy, firewalls, etc) is an advantage.
