DevOps Engineer for IIoT

 

What you will be doing:

  • Join a team with diverse skill sets to develop and operate end-to-end Industrial IoT solutions aka. ”sensor to cloud”
  • Enable the collection and processing of previously unattainable field data for improved asset performance or production output across our global business lines (Refining, Chemicals, Lubricants, Pipelines, Production, etc.)
  • Work with industrial infrastructure, including smart wireless sensors, PLCs, edge computing gateways, cameras and acoustic sensors that enable new ways of getting insights into the health and performance of the operational environment
  • Deploy, scale and automate our industrial IoT and edge computing services across multiple global locations, business lines, and use cases
  • Deliver applications for Linux, Docker, and Azure cloud environments
  • Engineer simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality
  • Consult on IoT use cases and deliver solutions to business lines
  • Collaborate with internal and vendor partners across a wide ecosystem
  • Strengthen the DevOps mindset and skillset across the team
  • Travel to international industrial locations occasionally as required (e.g. site visits, design workshops, high-touch incident resolution)

 

What you should have:

  • Soft skills:
    • Strong IT technical foundation and aptitude for fast learning
    • Interest in industrial environments and IoT solutions
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)

    • Experience with DevOps philosophies and practices
  • Technical skills (the more the better)
    • Linux fundamentals and systems engineering skills
    • Strong scripting skills, e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl
    • Docker containers and container orchestration
    • Configuration management software such as Ansible (preferred), Puppet, Salt, Chef
    • Build management and continuous integration tools (such as Jenkins, Travis, GitLab, etc.)
    • Proficient understanding of source mode management/code version control tools (such as Git, GitLab, etc.) 
    • OOP programming languages, e.g. Python, Java, C/C++, Go

 
 
Industrial Connectivity Engineer for IoT


 
What you will be doing

  • Join a team with diverse skill sets to develop and operate end-to-end Industrial IoT solutions aka. ”sensor to cloud”
  • Enable the collection and processing of previously unattainable field data for improved asset performance or production output across our global business lines (Refining, Chemicals, Lubricants, Pipelines, Production, etc.)
  • Participate in IoT projects to design and implement IoT connectivity initiatives, e.g. interfacing with industrial assets using industrial communication protocols, the corporate network, or the cloud
  • Setup and support industrial IoT and edge computers network connectivity
  • Consult with Plant Operations on network connectivity issues in the industrial environment
  • Collaborate with internal and vendor partners across a wide ecosystem
  • Engage in network connectivity and security related consulting with Operations
  • Travel to international industrial locations occasionally as required (e.g. site visits, design workshops, high-touch incident resolution)

 

What you should have:

  • Soft skills:
    • Strong IT technical foundation and aptitude for fast learning
    • Work experience in Process Control/Manufacturing environments
    • Familiarity the electrical control cabinet and schematic designs
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
    • Desire to work in a fast paced and constantly evolving agile environment
    • Experience with creating and maintaining technical documentation and network drawings
    • Knowledge of Project Management principles
    • Understanding of security principles in protecting Process Control Network networks from cyber threats when adding interfaces
    • Awareness of risks associated to the use of wireless technologies
    • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience

 

  • Technical skills
    • Experience in networking technologies in an industrial operations setting (e.g. variety of  industrial gateways/switches, Wireless Radios, etc.)
    • Background with Process Control systems (e.g. ABB, Emerson, Siemens, etc.)
    • Ability to integrate IoT sensors into existing networks  (e.g. wireless, digital, analog sensors, cameras, etc.)
    • Familiarity of common process control communication protocols (e.g. ModBus, HART, Profinet, OPC, etc.)
    • Understanding of field bus networks (e.g. Ethernet IP, Modbus/TCP, EtherCAT, etc.)
    • Ability to trace engineering technical diagrams for troubleshooting connectivity issues
    • Interface system with SCADA and digital machine packages to meet customer interface requirements

 

 

Linux Systems Engineer for IIoT

 

What you will be doing:

  • Join a team with diverse skill sets to develop and operate end-to-end Industrial IoT solutions aka. ”sensor to cloud”
  • Enable the collection and processing of previously unattainable field data for improved asset performance or production output across our global business lines (Refining, Chemicals, Lubricants, Pipelines, Production, etc.)
  • Develop and engineer a lightweight Linux based platform for IIoT use cases working to integrate solutions across the full platform stack (HW, OS, containers, device management, and security).
  • Ensure uptime, performance, resources and security of the devices meet the needs of the business and its users in an industrial setting
  • Acquire, install, or upgrade system components and software; provide routine automation; maintain security policies; troubleshoot and offer technical support for project related work
  • Contribute to existing documentation such as knowledge base, manuals, etc.
  • Work in a global organization across various business lines and industrial environments with occasional regional and international travel

    • 3+ years of high-level enterprise Systems Engineering with detailed knowledge of the Linux operating system and/or application virtualization administration experience (VMotion / VStorage / Docker preferred but not required)
    • General knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, Load Balancers, Proxies, Firewalls)
    • High level knowledge in embedded computing and associated development
    • Knowledge in various scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.)
    • General knowledge of Azure/AWS, Azure IoT Edge, use of TPM 2.0,  Enterprise automation (Ansible/Puppet)

 

 

Cloud Developer for IIoT

 

What you will be doing:

  • Join a team with diverse skill sets to develop and operate end-to-end Industrial IoT solutions aka. ”sensor to cloud”
  • Enable the collection and processing of previously unattainable field data for improved asset performance or production output across our global business lines (Refining, Chemicals, Lubricants, Pipelines, Production, etc.)
  • Be responsible for delivering and supporting cloud (and edge) applications to receive, process, present, store, and send data to and from the IoT edge and other industrial and enterprise systems
  • Consult with business lines on new IoT opportunities, use cases, and solutions to deliver
  • Consult on IoT use cases and deliver solutions to business lines
  • Collaborate with internal and vendor partners across a wide ecosystem
  • Strengthen the DevOps mindset and skillset across the team
  • Travel to international industrial locations occasionally as required (e.g. site visits, design workshops, high-touch incident resolution)
