What role you will play in our team
The Compliance Office (TCO) supports ExxonMobil in maintaining compliance with laws and regulations in the areas of trade sanctions and controls. TCO is comprised of Compliance Advisors and Data Analysts located in Houston, Hungary and Bangkok. The Trade Compliance Advisors use their expertise to 1) advise business line staff w/r/t interpretation and application of the regulations, 2) advise Supply Chain management regarding developments in the Trade Laws environment and implications for ExxonMobil, 3) assess and continuously improve ExxonMobil’s trade sanctions and export controls compliance program.
What you will do
- Provide interpretation services of restricted party screening results to business lines
- Leading and developing collaboration / communication strategies to increase awareness of the Trade Sanctions & Export Controls compliance program
- Collaborating with and fostering a close partnership with Business Lines, Centralized Organizations and Compliance Law
- Developing and maintaining processes and tools in support of export controls and trade sanctions compliance
- Advising business lines regarding the proper application of trade sanctions & export controls regulations
- Identifying opportunities for improvements in the overall trade compliance program
- Developing and delivering trade sanctions & export controls training
- Provide export control classification of items manufactured & purchased by the Company
About you: skills and qualifications
- Bachelor or Science or higher degree
- Strong critical thinking skills, process-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a virtual team setting
- Interest in solving business problems that have both technical and legal dimensions
- Willingness to learn end-to-end ExxonMobil processes
- Knowledge of export controls and trade sanctions regulations, specifically those administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).
- EU and UK regulatory knowledge is an advantage.
- Work experience in export controls and/or trade sanctions compliance or controls / risk management
Preferred qualifications

- IT / Power User experience, IT Vendor management
- Knowledge of best practices for export controls and trade sanctions compliance programs
