Data Architect

 

 

Data Analytics and Systems team in Budapest is working as part of ExxonMobil’s global organization and accelerate high-value, actionable insights through the delivery of state-of-the-art, scalable, enterprise data platforms, data science and analytics solutions for our global internal ExxonMobil customers.

We are looking for Data Architects in our growing Data Analytics and Systems team to provide a leadership, vision and design expertise in building and maintaining our corporate data strategy. DA professionals will collaborate with technology and management teams to assess, understand and define standards for data gathering, storage, quality improvement, integration and consumption across the organization.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with IT and business leadership during the whole data lifecycle throughout acquisition, modelling, migrations, distribution and reporting
  • Providing leadership and guidance in developing and maintaining a system agnostic data architecture relying on industry standards
  • Work closely with delivery teams and business to understand and translate requirements, assess and prioritize deliverables across the whole BI portfolio
  • Create an end-to-end vision on how data flows through the organization and lead its implementation following corporate strategy
  • Active participation in data governance, influencing data related decisions and making an impact on the organization
  • Project advisory, assisting with conceptual and logical data model design, data standards and provisioning decision making
  • Defining data standards associated with inventory, storage, security, quality, transformation, integration and consumption
  • Create and maintain data architecture artifacts and data repositories

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • BSC or higher degree Computer Science, Mathematics or similar quantitative domain
  • 10 years+ experience in the BI or application development space: data warehousing, migrations, reporting and analysis
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling tools and standards, technologies, relational and non-relational data sources, ETL and big data
  • Good understanding of data integration concepts and interfaces
  • Project management, change management, version control, computer architecture and interfaces is an advantage
  • Business process knowledge primarily in supply chain or manufacturing or retail is an advantage
